The Front Room, interior 1

Part of the open kitchen in The Front Room. Google Maps incorrectly locates its address, 73 Congress St. It is several blocks from the Eastern Promenade, not at the intersection of Congress and High Streets.

Try the two eggs with biscuits and gravy plate. Order the eggs with bacon drippings and notice how fluffy the whites are. Make sure you get a little bit of the eggs, biscuit, and gravy in each bite. I was going to take a picture of the dish, but it was all over after the first bite.

The fruit plate features Maine blueberries, not to be missed if you've never had them. In fact, next time we might skip the rest of the fruit and ask for a bowl of just the blueberries.
